Sormongla Eco Park, Tourism In Bangladesh

At the initiative of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority in Sormangla Eco Park in Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi District, a 27 km long creek was dug from Nityanandapur to Harishankarpur in 2003 and various fruit and forest saplings were planted on both sides of the creek. Narrow roads are made of trees. Surmangala, known as the main center of the creek, has a special field for flower gardens and benches for sitting.

Sitting on benches along the creek, people enjoy the view of the greenery and the view of the water coming through the pipes from the river Padmanabha. Boats can also be used from one side of the bay to the other. Looking at both sides of the bay, you can see huge crop fields. Even if you cultivate paddy and vegetables, it will seem to be just a combination of green. It is so green that tourists call the Sormangla area a greenhouse. Sormangala has access to water, toilets, and cooking stoves.

How do I get there:

Surmangla Eco Park is a naturally formed Godagari-Amanura road just 3 km east of Daingpara junction in the Upazila.
